ABOUT TAYLA

Hello there! My name is Tayla. I'm a mom and registered nurse, who started her health journey back in 2013. From a very young age I suffered from a handful of health problems. From debilitating anxiety and panic disorder, depression, SIBO and IBS. Being only 17 at the time of my first panic attack and the beginning of my IBS symptoms, I desperately needed help from my physician. However, I was only offered pills, pills, and more pills. Given that I was only 17 at the time and nothing they offered me was helping, I went on a quest to learn as much as I possibly could about my own symptoms and how I could treat naturally. Your probably wondering why is a nurse who works in an Intensive Care Unit making a blog about how she uses nutrition, herbal remedies and alternative healing modalities? Well the answer is simple to me, conventional, complementary and alternative medicine are all essential to disease prevention, treatment and management. When they all come together, you have the perfect combination to treat someone holistically. This was also the case with me on my healing journey.  I was able to use the knowledge I have of the human body that I learned as a nurse and apply it to myself, knowing that our bodies have the greatest capacity to heal. By listening to my body and intuition, combined with the right nutrition, herbs, exercise, and taking control over my stress and traumas, I was able to heal from within. Through years of my own research and learning from alternative healers and practitioners that have inspired me, I was able to overcome my panic disorder and depression, and finally heal my IBS. Over these years I have accumulated knowledge that I only wish I had when I first started my healing journey.  My love for holistic and natural health has lead me here to all of you. I am so excited to share my journey and have a place were we can all learn and heal together!
